Ms. S. Deepa, II B.Com. (Hons),
Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning,
Anantapur Campus.
Ms. S. Deepa, a student of the second year B.Com. (Hons) of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute
of Higher Learning, Anantapur Campus narrates her experiences of the Divinity of
Bhagavan in her own words.
'We, at Anantapur, have less physical proximity, but have close contact with Swami
through dreams and through the power of His words. He develops our faith in His
own ways and inspires us to do acts of goodness. He guides and guards us and urges
us to firmly go ahead on the path shown to us by Him. Slowly He develops good habits
and virtuous qualities in us. Thus, He brings a complete change in our lives. Swami
by His simple gestures proves to us that He is always with us and we owe our strong
faith to His grace alone.
It was the 13th June 2004. I was going to have Swami's darshan as a student for
the first time. I wanted to sit in the front row and have close darshan. So I got
ready before time. We had to go to the canteen, have our breakfast and then go for
darshan. In the canteen, owing to some unavoidable circumstances, I was delayed,
and almost all my batch mates went to the Sai Kulwant Hall. I went to the hall and
got the corner seat in the 12th row. I was disappointed and started crying when
someone told me that Swami would come close to where I was seated while returning
to His abode. Still I was upset. I had finally stopped crying and was waiting to
have a glimpse of Swami.
Just then the music started and Swami came in His vehicle. To our amazement, instead
of taking the usual path, Swami turned towards the path in which I was seated and
I shed tears of joy as I had close darshan. Swami looked at us and said 'santosham.'
Immediately after this event, my faith in Swami strengthened. Similarly, once my
friend prayed to Swami for apples to be distributed as prasad and, to our amazement,
it was apples distributed as prasad that day.'
