Mrs. T. Satya (50), a housewife doing seva at Prasanthi Nilayam, relates a few of
her experiences of the Divinity of Bhagavan in her own words.
‘We used to reside at Ulavapadu near Nellore. My husband, Mr. T Sabhapathi Rao was
working in the Railways. In those days, I developed some infection in uterus. I
suffered for three years. My brother who is a doctor in the King George Hospital,
Visakhapatnam took me there for surgery. A date for surgery was also fixed but it
was deferred in the last minute due to doctors’ strike. We went to Gudur but there
also, they did not do surgery.
‘Let my daughter’s marriage be over, I will get it done at Visakhapatnam’, my sister
told me. So I went to Visakhapatnam with my husband for the marriage. After the
marriage, they all went to Tirupati forgetting my problem. So my husband felt hurt
and started for our place with all of us. Suddenly, he got an idea to go to Puttaparthi
where he could get the surgery done free of cost. I don’t know who told him about
Puttaparthi in the train.
So he dropped our children at Ulavapadu and took me to Puttaparthi. We had no idea
of Swami. We stayed in the shed for the night. Next morning we were advised to have
Darshan of Baba. My husband asked some one about Baba. ‘You can write a letter and
give it to Swami’, he told my husband, and ‘your problems may be solved’. Swami
came from the interview room straight to my husband and said, ‘have padanamaskar’.
My husband took padanamaskar. ‘Give me the letter’, Swami asked and took the letter.
He then blessed my husband. Next day we went to the hospital. They did all tests.
‘She is perfectly normal’, they said, ‘there is no need for operation’. Since that
day, I have been quite all right. I am not taking any medicine. From that day onwards,
I have not had any problem with my health.’
