Mrs. Revati (45), a housewife, relates a few of her experiences of the Divinity of
Bhagavan in her own words.
‘I think it was around 1995. We went to a friend’s house. When we went there, they
were discussing that their daughter’s marriage was performed well by Swami’s grace.
‘Which Swami?’ I asked.
‘Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’, they replied.
That is the first time I heard of Bhagavan. I did not know at that time that Swami
entered into our lives that day.
At that time we were in Avadi. Sai bhajan used to be held in the temple of Vaishnavi.
We went there that day and participated in it. At the end they gave vibhuti to all
of us. I put vibhuti on the forehead of my year and a half old son, Narendra Kumar.
A few minutes later, he was seen playing near a motorbike. He sat by its side. Suddenly,
he turned away from it, and came a few feet. The motorbike fell down. Had he been
there playing near it, it would have been a very serious accident injuring him badly.
Swami’s vibhuti protected him thus.
Once I was going to some place in Chrompeta. On the way, I passed by Sri Sathya
Sai High School. Then a thought flashed in my mind ‘if only my children can study
in this school?’ I ruled it out because we were far off in Avadi. Swami heard my
prayerful fleeting thought. For some reason, we had to shift to Chrompeta unexpectedly.
My children were admitted in Sri Sathya Sai High School. Swami granted my wish that
way.
Some one brought a photograph of Bhagavan and presented it to us. I don’t even remember
the date. We kept it in pooja. From that day onwards, I began talking mentally to
Bhagavan (in photograph) and tell Him all my problems as we tell our parents. It
has become a habit with me. We keep a chair exclusively for Swami. I feel that Swami
sits in it all the time, and talks to us.
My son, Narendra kumar and my daughter, Bhuvaneswari also feel His presence. When
my son puts any question, Swami replies. Gradually people have started to come to
us with their problems. We tell Swami and He replies. We pass on the reply to them.
One lady asked for children. Swami granted her request and she has children now.
Like this, many instances have happened. People come anytime they wish and Swami
responds. But He tells us not to accept any money from anybody. If they bring any
fruits or sweets, we offer them to Bhagavan and distribute to all as prasad.’
