Mrs. Lalitha (56), a Bala Vikas teacher who takes classes every Sunday, and who comes regularly to Prasanthi Nilayam for seva, has many experiences of the Divinity of Bhagavan of which she narrates a few in her own words.

'For the past one year and a half, I have been suffering from back pain. Doctors advised me to take an x-ray as well as CT scan as they said that my disk was jammed. I began praying to Swami. Suddenly, one day, Mrs. Sumati Kumaraswamy came to me and said that she had a dream in which Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba had appeared and told her to go and meet me, and give vibhuti to me. I was instructed by Mrs. Sumati to take that vibhuti with water. I implicitly obeyed. Prior to my taking vibhuti, my ESR was 86 (normal: 8.6). After taking vibhuti, I underwent the test again. My ESR came down to normal miraculously. The Doctor, who is also a Sai devotee, was wonderstruck. He said, 'No need for you either to have traction, x-ray or CT scan as advised earlier.' I have been relieved of my pain to the extent of 95%.

In October 1999, I came to Puttaparthi for service. At the end of the seva, Swami gave us Padanamaskar. 'Our daughter's marriage is fixed, Swami.' I told Bhagavan. 'Romba Santosham, go ahead', Swami blessed.

Our daughter Sri Vidya is an ardent devotee of Bhagavan, and also a Bala Vikas teacher. She was a Ph.D scholar in 1999 in the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research at Mumbai. She could get selected for that admission, facing stiff competition from out of 300 applicants. She was the only one that was selected to do Ph.D. that time. She got married in 2000 after completing only one year of her research at the TIFR, Mumbai. Her husband belongs to Chennai. Thus, she faced the problem of being separated from her husband soon after her wedlock and was to return to Mumbai to pursue her studies. But miraculously she was transferred to the IIT, Chennai and was allowed to continue her research for Ph.D. there. Not only that. When a scholar comes like that to a new Institution, the scholar has to begin from the first year again. Our daughter was permitted owing to the grace of Bhagavan to pursue the research from the second year without any loss of time.

Though our daughter was married in June 2000, she had no issues. I was a bit concerned about it. In November 2003, I came to Prasanthi Nilayam for seva. I was praying to Bhagavan sincerely to bless my daughter with pregnancy. On the last day of our seva, Swami was going in a car along the Darshan lines. I was praying to Him about my daughter when He looked at me, smiled and raised His hand in Abhaya Hasta posture. I was immensely happy. After that, our daughter has been in the family way. She is now carrying, and is in the 8th month of pregnancy. We even sent an invitation to Bhagavan for her Seemantham function.

Just before our coming for seva to Prasanthi Nilayam this month, another miracle happened. On May 5, 2004, I put a wrong weight on the cooker at my house. As the cooker had picked up steam, it would have ended up in a blast because of the wrong weight on it. But owing to grace of Bhagavan, the gas supply from the cylinder stopped. I went and checked up. I detected that a wrong weight had been placed on the cooker by mistake. If the gas supply had not been over just at the nick of the moment, it is difficult to imagine what would have happened. Bhagavan is in front of us, behind us and with us always, and protects us!'
