Mr. V. Pattabhiramon (59), a retired Electrical Engineer, who returned to India after
a stint in Gulf countries, relates a few of his experiences of the Divinity of Bhagavan
in his own words.
'While I was at Ooty working with Hindustan Photo Films Manufacturing Company Ltd,
a Government of India undertaking, I came to Puttaparthi for the first time in the
eighties, and had Darshan of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai.
After 1982, I had been to Gulf countries and finally reached Kuwait in 1996. While
I was in Kuwait I used to be an active member of Sri Sathya Sai Organization. I
used to attend bhajans, study-circles, Narayana Seva, Vishnu Sahasranama Sthotra
and other activities. We used to get good cooperation from local people who never
opposed our activities. Once during bhajan in the house of a devotee, we all saw
vibhuti emanating from the floor. On another occasion, vibhuti came out of the Photograph
of Swami. Once I saw amritam (honey-like material) coming out of Swami's Photograph
in a devotee's house during bhajan.
During vacation, I came to Puttaparthi once with family. I waited for 2 days to
get padanamaskar but could not get. On the third day, I was to return to Kuwait.
I prayed to Bhagavan and sat in the lines. I got front line. Swami came along the
lines and gave to my son and me padanamaskar, to my heart's content. I could return
to Kuwait happily.
When I was in Kuwait, I received news that my mother was serious. I neither had
money nor was it easy to get leave. I prayed to Swami. Then one of my friends bought
me an air ticket on my request. I got leave also. When I reached my house in India,
my mother was in coma for the previous three days. After my arrival, owing to Swami's
grace she opened her eyes and recognised me. She then merged in Bhagavan. In fact,
I did not think that I could make it to India. Nor any one of my family members
thought that my mother would come out of coma to recognise me. Only Bhagavan's grace
made it all possible.
For someone's mistake, I was made a scapegoat in Kuwait and lost my job. While on
trials for another job, I had to give my passport to a Company, only to find that
it was a bogus Company. Thus I lost the job and my passport. It was a difficult
period. I used to pray to Swami. All of a sudden, I happened to receive my passport
and also air ticket, and could be back in India without any problem.
Owing to Swami's grace my son passed MCA and is now in the US. My elder daughter
was married to a Vysya Bank employee, and they are well off. My second daughter,
Gayatri Devi also received her MCA and was employed. Only after I came for seva
during the last week of October 2004 to Prasanthi Nilayam I received the good news
that she has got a placement in a better Company. Another good news is a proposal
on hand for her wedlock.'
