Mr. S. Chengalrayan (66), who retired as a High
School teacher, relates his experiences of the Divinity of Bhagavan in his own words.
'I learnt about Bhagavan in 1985 from my neighbour.
I came to Prasanthi Nilayam for Bhagavan's 60th Birthday and was much impressed.
It was my first visit here. Till then, I was devoted to Lord Balaji. At Prasanthi
Nilayam I was gripped with a feeling that Sri Sathya Sai is none other than Balaji
walking amidst us in flesh and blood.
I came for the first time for seva to Prasanthi Nilayam for Bhaagavan's 65th Birthday.
I took a pledge not to touch non-vegetarian food, not even an egg. I was notorious
for my irritation and anger as well as my racy tongue. Now many of my colleagues
tell me that there has been a lot of change. My temperament has mellowed down. This
is a miraculous transformation Bhagavan has brought in me silently.
In between 1991 and 1995, I witnessed many miracles during bhajans. In the house
of Chilukuris I saw vibhuti emanating from an old photograph of Bhagavan. In the
house of another of the same family, we saw amrit coming in the shape of footprint
of Bhagavan. They collected it and sent it to the Samithi also. The same thing happened
at Palamaneru in the house of Pandurangayya Chetti, too.
My daughter, Ms. Rama Devi got employment without any recommendation, only owing
to His grace.'
