Mr. Rethish Babu (38), an advocate, relates a few of his experiences of the Divinity
of Bhagavan in his own words.
'I saw some people gather at my neighbour's house and do bhajan. At that time, I
was not a believer in God, much less in Sri Sathya Sai Baba. So I used to argue
with them that it was a waste of time as there is no God. This was in 1979.
Later, I went to Mysore to study Law in 1992. There I began to develop faith in
God. During vacation, I came to my native place. My friends used to tell me about
Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba and the miracles He was performing. Somehow, my studies
did not go smoothly. I failed in Law once or twice. I could not complete it even
after a few years.
In 2001, the mother of my friend was going to Puttaparthi. 'If you want you can
come with me', she told me. I agreed and accompanied her. That was my first visit
to Puttaparthi. When I had Darshan of Bhagavan, something inexplicable happened
to me. I had not experienced such a feeling earlier. I was overwhelmed with emotion
with the direct taste of Divine Love. We spent three days happily there and returned.
After having Darshan of Bhagavan, my life began changing for the better. It was
a turning point. I attended a weeklong course in meditation. As I was practising
meditation, I used to experience the inexplicable feeling that I had experienced
on my seeing Bhagavan the first time.
Later, I attended a youth camp at Brindavan where Bhagavan blessed us with His Darshan.
We also listened to His Discourse. When I had Darshan of Bhagavan there, the same
inexplicable feeling returned to me. I was not even aware that tears of joy were
rolling down my eyes.
On return from Brindavan, I enrolled as an advocate. I got married also. I have
continued to do meditation daily. I have been coming for seva also. This is the
third time that Swami blessed me with an opportunity to do seva at Prasanthi Nilayam,
and enjoy His bliss.'

(As narrated to Mr. B. Parvatala Rao at Prasanthi Nilayam on 30.01.2005.)
