Mr. Ramakishen Sarma (40), a worker in a business
establishment, relates a few of his experiences of the Divinity of Bhagavan in his
own words.
'In 1999, my daughter Anuradha used to go to Balvikas classes. She brought a photograph
of Bhagavan, and kept it in her bookshelf. I used to chide her for wasting her time
on all such activities.
One day she could not tolerate my criticising Baba like that.
'You keep your faith in Him' she told me, 'you will yourself experience His miracles.'
'Ok' I retorted, 'let me see how your God will justify your faith.'
I prayed to Bhagavan sincerely.
'If you are God' I prayed to Him in my mind, 'show me some proof.'
I was a chain-smoker then. I used to smoke as many as 30 cigarettes, if not more,
everyday. I was also in financial troubles.
That very night, Bhagavan came in my dream. I had not seen Him earlier. Even the
photograph my daughter had in her bookshelf was too small to make out His features.
He had bushy hair on His head in my dream and a blissful smile on His face. He placed
His hand on my head and softly moved it as if He was caressing me with love. I could
experience the bliss of His compassion and love by His mere touch even in my dream.
'You are smoking too many cigarettes' Swami told me, 'why don't you give it up.
It will help you if you give it up. I will take care of you.'
The dream ended. But I was still in the hangover of His blissful touch. I was experiencing
inexplicable ananda. I felt that the whole thing was real, not a dream. Since that
moment, I have not touched the cigarette again. I did not care about my financial
troubles. But miraculously, my finances improved. There has been no looking back
for me from that day. Whenever I think of that dream, I relive those blissful moments
feeling His Divine touch on my head even now.'
