Mr. R. Simhachalam (66) is presently a resident of the Bharathi Vruddhashram, Puttaparthi.
He narrates his experiences of the Divinity of Bhagavan in his own words.
'In 1993 I came here with my nephew who had a heart problem. At that time I left
him and my son in the room and went out to see places. I went to Kalpavriksham where
I found a sadhu doing pooja. 'May I take a small piece of this tree?'- I asked him.
He assented and said, 'chant 108 times namam of the Lord Sairam'. I did so. He gave
me vibhuti. I put the piece of wood and vibhuti in a packet and returned. When I
opened to show them to my son and nephew, the piece of wood, which was black when
I took it, developed small spots of ochre colour. Another strange thing is that
there was no trace of vibhuti in the packet though I put vibhuti in the same packet
with the piece of wood. I kept both of them in one small casket and took home.
We performed pooja for the piece of wood on every Thursday for three weeks. When
one of our neighbours came to see it, the casket was opened. Vibhuti was there,
but the piece of wood disappeared. We searched for it in vain. There was no scope
for any one taking it out or it falling out of the casket
My nephew underwent cardiac surgery later, and is all right now owing to Swami's
grace.'
