Dumral Bazar, Rawal Mohalla
Nadiad, Kheda District, Gujarat State.
Mr. Punam Bhai B. Rawal (65), a retired employee of Sloth Mill, Nadiad, relates his
experiences of the Divinity of Bhagavan in his own words.
'I had known about Shirdi Sai Baba. But I was not aware of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
Only in April 2004, one of my friends told me about Swami and wanted me to go to
Puttaparthi.
'I don't know anything about Swami', I replied, 'besides, I am not a devotee of
Him. What will I do at Puttaparthi?'
'You can do service', he told me, 'just go there once and see for yourself'.
It was due to the grace of Swami I happened to be at Puttaparthi as a member of
sevadal. We arrived here on the night of June 13, 2004. We sat in Darshan lines
the next day morning. It was my first ever visit to Puttaparthi. On that day I had
the good fortune of seeing Bhagavan for the first time. When I saw Swami, I felt
that supreme peace descended on me. I experienced such peace and happiness the like
of which I had never experienced before. I do not know how to describe it, but I
can tell that I understood then what it means to be in the presence of Almighty
in Person.
I sat afterwards in Darshan lines many times. Each time I experienced the same bliss
of peace, happiness and tranquility. I was wondering earlier what draws people to
Bhagavan. Now, I think I know the answer - sheer bliss of Divine Presence.'
