Mr. A. Balakrishnan (60), a retired employee,
relates a few of his experiences of the Divinity of Bhagavan in his own words.
'I came to Prasanthi Nilayam for seva during the 61st Birthday celebrations of Bhagavan.
It was my first visit here. I had darshan of Bhagavan for the first time. Bhagavan
gave us all padanamaskar and prasadam.
We conduct bhajans regularly on every Wednesday in our house. We put a garland on
Swami's photograph which would lengthen to double its size next morning. This happens
regularly. Occasionally vibhuti comes from the photograph.
In 1999, two boys of our neighbourhood of eight or nine years of age came to our
house. It was a Wednesday. I told them not to make noise or use bad words. 'If they
did so Swami would be displeased' I told them. I asked them to attend bhajan. Later,
they went to play. During the play, one of them was angry with the other. He scolded
him using foul language.
'Look!' the second boy said, 'don't use foul language. Swami will punish you!'
The other fellow did not care. He continued to quarrel.
'I don't want to play' the first boy said, 'I am going to bhajan.' The other fellow
was still there. This boy came away to bhajan and sat behind me just before the
bhajan was about to start.
After sometime, the other boy also came and sat by his side. There was some altercation
going on between the two in very subdued tones. After the bhajan, the first boy
came to me. 'Sai Ram' he told me, 'you see that photograph of Swami on the wall
with glass frame. As the bhajan was going on, this fellow came and sat by my side.
He was trying to say something to me. Then Swami in the photograph tapped the glass
on the frame when it parted and opened to either side like a curtain. I saw Swami
come out of it. He stood before you. His Atma (the form of aura) walked through
you and came to us.' 'Don't make noise in bhajan' Swami warned us showing His pointing
finger. He then went back through you as Atma and then into the photograph when
the glass closed as before.'
The other boy had another story to tell.
'This fellow and I were playing with sticks. One stick came and hit me. My upper
lip was hit by the stick. It has been swollen.'
'Sai Ram' the first boy said, 'how could I hit him? I came here long back and sat
behind you.'
'Yes' I told them, 'he came here long before the bhajan started and sat behind me.
There is no chance that he hit you. Did you use foul language while playing with
this boy?'
'Yes, Sai Ram' the other boy said, 'that is why I told him that I would not play
with him any longer and came away to the bhajan.'
'No!' the boy with the swollen lip said, 'he was playing with me for long. Only
a couple of minutes before I came to the bhajan, he came here.'
I understood what had happened. I explained to them 'he (the boy who came first)
did not like your foul words. So he came away and sat behind me here. He did not
go anywhere. You came after a long time. Then who played with you? Swami came and
played with you in the form of this boy. He hit you as punishment for using foul
language and warned you not to make noise during bhajan. Did I not tell you that
Swami will be displeased if you use foul language?'
