      Dr. V. Savithri, a senior physician and presently Superintendent of the SSS General Hospital, Whitefield, Bangalore, has been a long time devotee of Bhagavan. She has innumerable experiences of the Divinity of Bhagavan. She records only one experience of hers in an article published in Arogyapradayini, the Golden Jubilee publication of Sri Sathya Sai General Hospital, Prasanthi Nilayam released in August 2006.

'I came to Swami in February 1969 to render seva as a doctor - volunteer for Sivarthri festival. I stayed with Dr. Jayalakshmi, who was my friend and senior, and who had come as a trainee to the Medical College, Visakhapatnam. I was blessed with darshan, sparshan (padanamaskar), sambhashan and vibhuti. I was then working in Capital Hospital, Bhuvaneswar, Orissa as Assistant Superintendent.

On my return from Puttaparthi, a Muslim lady came to my house accompanied by her friend. She was very pale, and had severe irregular bleeding for six months. She had taken some medicines, but she was no better. I examined her and found a big uterine tumour, the size of six months of pregnancy. I told her that she had a tumour, and that it had to be removed after blood transfusion. This could be done at the Medical College Hospital at Cuttack; and I gave her a reference letter to go there. She cried saying that they were poor, and her husband could not afford the expenses. Moreover, she was afraid of surgery and requested me to give some medicine. I told her that surgery was the only remedy. She insisted on taking some medicine from me. Then, I remembered Swami's vibhuti and its miracle cures. So I told her 'there is this vibhuti given by Sri Sathya Sai Baba of Puttaparthi; it's very powerful and cures diseases, if taken with complete faith. I am not telling you to pray to Swami. If you have faith in 'Allah' you pray to Him, and take a pinch of this vibhuti with water, twice a day, after prayers.' I gave her two packets of vibhuti, given by Swami. She took them and went home.

After 40 days, she returned. The pallor had gone, and she was quite hale and hearty, and asked for some more vibhuti. I was surprised that, on examining her, there was no trace of tumour at all. I asked her what had happened. She told me 'amma, I took the vibhuti as instructed by you with full faith in my God Allah. The bleeding stopped after 5 days and I could feel the tumour becoming smaller and finally it disappeared. After a month, I had my normal periods. By the grace of God and vibhuti, I am cured. I have come to take some more of it from you'. This is how Swami's vibhuti is curing many people all over the world. I am very happy to be an instrument in this incident, and pray to Swami to shower His Grace on all people who have complete faith in Him and His vibhuti.
