Ms. V. Subha Prada, a student of the B.Ed. of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher
Learning, Anantapur Campus narrates a few of her experiences of the Divinity of
Bhagavan in her own words.
'My grandmother was due for a cataract operation in the year 2001. She had undergone
preliminary examinations towards the end of May 2001 at the CMC Hospital, Vellore.
Since the lens suitable to my grandmother's eye was not available immediately, the
operation got delayed for more than two months. The doctor, after making every effort
to procure the lens from a company located in Mumbai, suggested that she could go
through the operation without a lens. He also clarified that any further delay in
getting the operation done would cause the cataract to burst. The doctor was also
scheduled to go to London for six months. As we did not have any other alternative,
we decided to allow the operation to take place without a lens.
My grandmother was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday morning, and the operation
was to be done on Thursday. There was no sign of the lens arriving until Wednesday
evening. My grandmother was taken to the operation theatre at around 7 a.m. on Thursday.
She was continuously chanting the magic words 'Sai Ram'. Even while she was being
taken to the operation theatre, my father kept praying to God for the success of
the operation. Just then, a nurse came to the room and informed that we should contact
the doctor immediately. My father rushed to the operation theatre with anxiety.
After some time, the doctor came out of the operation theatre, and showed the lens
that had just arrived. It was of the same size needed for my grandmother, a size
not manufactured usually. The lens arrived at the correct time. Thus, my grandmother
developed unshakeable faith in Bhagavan.'
