Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning,
Anantapur Campus.
Ms. Sayee Geetha, a student of the first year B.Com (Hons) of the Sri Sathya Sai
Institute of Higher Learning, Anantapur Campus narrates an experience of the Divinity
of Bhagavan in her own words.
'Many fortune-tellers had predicted that our family was under the evil spell of
black magic done by some ill-willed relatives. All of them predicted untimely deaths
in our family. In confirmation of their prediction, continuous ill-health prevailed
in the house-hold. On one particular occasion, my mother who was already unwell
got worse. Her condition became very critical. There was none around, except my
grandmother who was herself sick. Seeing my mother's condition worsening, all I
could do was to pray to Swami. I suspected that this difficulty arose from the evil
effects cast on us, and so no medication would really help. The only antidote I
could think of was vibhuti. I applied vibhuti on my mother's forehead, and chanted
'Sairam' continuously. To my utter despair, my mother went into an unconscious state.
By the time my father and my paternal grandmother reached home, my mother's body
appeared limp and lifeless. All that we did was pray to Bhagavan, our only refuge
at such times. The next morning, my mother got up from bed as though from a long
sleep, fresher than ever!'
