Ms. S. Gayathri, II M.Sc.,
Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning,
Anantapur Campus.

Ms. S. Gayathri, a student of the second year M. Sc. of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Anantapur Campus narrates her experience of the Divinity of Bhagavan in her own words.

'The Lord chose to enter our lives in May 1996. My brother, who had just finished his B.Sc., was a little confused as to what to do next for his higher studies. At that time, a student from Prasanthi Nilayam came to our house and gave him the suggestion that he could do his MBA at Prasanthi Nilayam. And my brother joined the Institute. I was in my ninth class then, and resisted much the idea of Sathya Sai Baba being God. However, I visited Prasanthi Nilayam in July 1997 to meet my brother. My brother then told me that we could express our inner feelings to Swami in the form of a letter. It was going to be my first darshan. I wrote a letter which contained all my mixed and confused feeling. We went to the darshan ground, and I secured a place in the second row.

When the soothing music started, and Swami emerged, the place in front of me was still vacant, and a volunteer just came to say that I could move to the first row. Swami walked straight to me with an enchanting smile. I was stunned, totally blank in my mind and speechless, attracted by the beautiful figure of Bhagavan. Something happened within me. In my reverie, I had totally forgotten to hand over the letter, for my eyes were fixed upon His form. Swami asked for the letter and lovingly told me to take padanamaskar. I prostrated at those Lotus Feet immediately. Then I lifted my head and looked at Him only to see Him smiling at me. Transformation of the heart has been the net result.'
