Ms. M. Gayathri, a student of the second year B. Com. (Hons) of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Anantapur Campus narrates her experience of the Divinity of Bhagavan in her own words.

'It was on January 11, 1988, that Swami entered my life. I was a ten-months-old baby when I lost my father. Though I was brought up in a healthy environment, I acutely felt the absence of fatherly love. As I grew up, I constantly argued that God does not exist. I was enraged at the injustice.

1st March, 2004 was an important day in my life. I was forced by my mother and relatives to apply for the under-graduate course in Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning. I reluctantly complied with their decision and went through the admission procedure. However, when the day of leaving dawned, I broke down in the presence of my mother and refused to join the Institute. It was then that my mother decided to tell me some home-truths. God is an integral part of my mother's life.

She explained to me that after my father's death, the family was bereft of financial and moral support. The grief of losing a life partner, coupled with the responsibility of raising children, and the impending financial crisis came as an unbearable shock. She hoped that the insurance claim would mitigate their immediate need. However, she discovered that the insurance officials wanted at least half the amount as bribe from the family. Life seemed to have reached a dead end. Desperate, she sought support. Her well-wishers advised her to turn to Swami to solve her problems. One of her relatives visited Puttaparthi and wrote a letter to Swami about all their problems. They hoped that Swami would accept the letter as He was their only refuge. Along with the description of their dire need, the letter weighed heavy with the earnest prayer of their hearts.

Significantly, Swami, the loving mother, granted beautiful darshan on that day. With immeasurable and bountiful compassion, Swami came towards the girl's aunt and took the letter, and with it all the grievances of the family. This ended all the problems with the Insurance Company because a higher Authority gave orders that the policy amount be paid to the family immediately.

God has a purpose and reason for framing different roles for each person. We cannot unveil God's plans. Nevertheless, God always gives support and help when He knows that a particular role is hard to play. For me, the support came through loving relatives and in the form of admission into this Holy Institution.

Thus, I came to appreciate the presence of God in my life. The Ultimate Director decided to keep me close to Him to show me the canopy of love that had been covering me all through. As planned by Him, I am now studying in Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Anantapur Campus. Indeed my rage has turned into reverence!'
