Ms. B. Sridevi, B.Ed.,
Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning,
Anantapur Campus.
Ms. B. Sridevi, a student of the B.Ed. of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher
Learning, Anantapur Campus narrates her experience of the Divinity of Bhagavan in
her own words.
'A student hailing from Penukonda had heard about Bhagavan, but she was not a devotee.
However, she was a staunch devotee of Shirdi Sai Baba. Owing to poor economic conditions,
her mother suggested that she stop further studies after X Standard. She somehow
persuaded her mother to allow her to study till the XII Standard. As she was finishing
XII Standard, she was unable to accept the fact that her education would end there.
One day she sat in front of Shirdi Sai's photograph and wept bitterly. The next
day at school, her teacher mentioned about the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher
Learning in the class. He said that besides quality education, it also provides
free education. Hearing this, a ray of hope entered her life and she prayed even
more earnestly. With great difficulty, she acquired her parents' permission to apply
to the Institute, and appeared for the examination along with fifteen other girls
of her class. She was the only one selected and she is currently pursuing her I
year graduation.'
