Mrs. M. Saraswathi (57), Assistant in the Female OPD, Sri Sathya Sai General Hospital,
Prasanthi Nilayam, relates a few of her experiences of the Divinity of Bhagavan
in her own words.
‘I was suffering from osteo-arthritis of both knees. I had to be confined to bed.
I was admitted in Swami’s General Hospital on May 29, 2001 for tests. On May 30,
Dr. Kamala examined me. Before leaving she gave me a packet of Swami’s vibhuti.
‘Take a pinch of this regularly’, she advised me, ‘while taking all your regular
medicines’.
I was discharged from the hospital on May 31. On return to my house, I was taking
the prescribed medicines as well as vibhuti daily. No improvement even after 20
days.
One day Bhagavan appeared in my dream, ‘stop taking all medicines’, He advised me
in the dream, ‘vibuti is enough’. So I stopped all medicines but continued to take
vibhuti as internal medicine, and use it for external application on my knees as
well. A month lapsed, but there was no improvement. ‘Perhaps Bhagavan is testing
my faith’, I thought and continued to take vibhuti only. Then I started improving.
Day by day my position changed for the better. Earlier I could not go even to bathroom
on my own. But later, I was able to walk gradually even up to a kilometre without
anybody’s help. My only medicine was vibhuti. By October 2001, I was perfectly normal.
As I recovered fully, I wanted to participate in seva activities and prayed to Bhagavan
for such an opportunity. Owing to His grace, I got a chance to work as an assistant
in the Female OPD of the General Hospital at Prasanthi Nilayam in February 2003.
Since then I have been working there without any problem. I thought I was condemned
to a wheel chair or even to bed all my life, but compassionate Sai-mata not only
gave me ability to walk again but blessed me with the fortune of doing seva in His
hospital.’
