Mrs. K. Radhamma (47), a housewife, relates her experiences of the Divinity of Bhagavan in her own words.

'My parents belong to Mahabubnagar. They saw an alliance for me in Puttaparthi. When they went there to discuss matters, people on the side of the bridegroom were found to be unfavourable to the alliance, as they felt that Mahabubnagar is far away. Our people thought, 'anyway we have come here. So let us have Darshan of Bhagavan and go'.

When they went to the Mandir, it was already full. In those days Sai Kulwant Hall was not there. There used to be some cubicles around the open space before the Mandir. One of them was reserved for members of the family of Swami. When our people went there, Mrs. Janakiramaiah, wife of the brother of Swami, made place for Mrs. Girijamma, the mother of the bridegroom and made our people also sit there. Swami came but went further away. Our people did not get a chance to speak to Swami because He had gone too far into the crowd. He then suddenly turned back, and came to the place where our people were sitting.

Swami asked them if anything particular was there.

Mrs. Girijamma said, 'Swami! We have an alliance for my son. I am told that Swami is performing 999 marriages; kindly include my son's wedding also in them!'

'Better go to their place and get your son married', Swami said and left.

As Swami blessed the alliance, my marriage was held with Mr. Lakshminarayana, s/o Mrs. Girijamma of Puttaparthi. That is how Bhagavan has drawn me to His abode for life.

Bhagavan gave seat to my son, Vijaya Sai in Swami's school. For Dasara, he was included in the team that recited Veda during Sri Veda Purusha Jnana Maha Yajna. Swami gave him, with His divine hands, silk clothes to wear, during Vedic recitation.

In 1979, I was blessed with a daughter. We used to take the child to Mandir daily hoping Swami would give her a name. Swami used to come along, materialise vibhuti and sprinkle it on the child and go. But He did not give her a name. Finally, one night Bhagavan came in my dream and gave the name of the child as 'Sai Jyothi'. So we named her as Sai Jyothi. Swami performed namakarana (giving name), annaprasana (giving food for the first time) and 'puttu ventrukalu' ceremony (to have hair-cut for the first time) to my son. He even performed upanayanam (thread marriage) to him.

In 1999, we constructed our new house and fixed Grihapravesam (entering new house for the first time) on November 18. We wanted to give the first invitation card to Swami. But now things have changed. Daily there are huge crowds. How could we hand over the card? My daughters went and sat in Darshan lines - in the first row - being ex-students. Swami did not take the card even though they went for three days. On the fourth day, I went and sat. Swami came and took the card. Perhaps, He wanted that the lady of the house only should invite. On November 18, 1999 Grihapravesam was held successfully.

When a proposal for the marriage of my eldest daughter, Ms. Sai Jyothi was being considered, we wanted approval of Swami. All of us went to Brindavan. We all took letters addressed to Swami. All letters were identical. If Swami took the letter, we would take it that He approved the alliance.

Swami entered Sai Ramesh Hall at Brindavan from the ladies' side, as usual. We all managed to sit in the front, but Swami did not look at us. He went into the gents' side, and from there towards the dais. We all felt that Swami did not approve the alliance. We felt disappointed, as, in our view, it was a good alliance. Then suddenly Swami came to our side, to go out from the ladies' side, against His usual practice. He took letters from all of us and even blessed the bride before leaving the hall. The marriage was held very well owing to His grace.'
