Mr. Yelisetti Simhayya Gupta (65), a native of Nagar Kurnool, is presently residing at Puttaparthi. He has been blessed with many blissful experiences - some of which are narrated by him hereunder.
'I was visiting Puttaparthi, since 1960, now and then. When I went there for seva in January 1997, Swami blessed me keeping His hand on my head. We shifted to Puttaparthi from our native village in June 1997, for regular stay.
I had heart attack three times - in 1992, 1997, and 2000. It is my conviction that I have survived because of Swami's grace.
Unexpected Guest:
It was only due to Swami's grace that the marriage of my grand daughter was consummated on March 12, 2000, as per her wish.
We were in Puttaparthi on December 28, 2000. It was Thursday and also the festival day of Ramjan. Swami was at Brindavan (Bangalore).
Around 4.30 a.m. that day, somebody knocked on the front door of our flat. At that time I was taking bath. My wife opened the door. There was Swami standing before her! She was stunned with joy. As she was overwhelmed with emotion, she could not even think of inviting Swami in. Nor did she think of doing paada-namaskar.
'At the time of the marriage, I was busy with some other work. At the time of the Birthday (Bhagavan's), your house was full of people. I have brought new clothes for all of you. Wear them, Bangaru!' - so saying, Swami handed over a bag to my wife and disappeared.
My wife recovered her senses and came in with the bag (cover) in her hand. The flat was full of pleasant fragrance. When we opened the bag, there were three saris, two dhotis, four currency notes of Rs. 500/- denomination, and a robe of Swami to be kept in Pooja!
Linga in the Coconut:
At 11 a.m. on Sivaratri Day in 2003, we performed Pooja in my flat at Puttaparthi. There were 19 persons present. We broke five coconuts in all. Out of one coconut came a sphatika (crystal) lingam. It is white on one side, and of grape colour on the other. There are three lines in the middle. Those who saw it said that it might be Arthanaareeswara Linga. It is still in our Pooja.
Wedding presents from Swami:
In the month of April 2003, the wedding of my grandson was fixed. We wanted to give the Invitation-card to Swami, and get the wedding attire blessed by Him. We reached Brindavan on April 27 as Swami was there at that time. We sat in the Darsan lines. On the 29th April, Swami came, took the wedding card and placed His hand on the wedding clothes by way of blessing them, and left. We put those clothes in a bag and returned to Nagar Kurnool. When we opened the bag, there was a polythene cover in it besides the clothes we had taken. Who kept it in the bag? None of us did it. There was no scope for any outsider to do so. When we opened that cover, we found one silk sari, one silk dhoti, a pair of Mangala-sutra, and 10 packets of vibhuti! Our joy knew no bounds!
Other experiences:
Vibhuti, pasupu and kumkum have come out of Swami's Photograph in my flat, on several occasions. Once we saw Amrutam dripping out.'
