Mr. Vinod Bhai J. Bhatt (46), a priest, relates a few of his experiences of the Divinity of Bhagavan in his own words.

'Long back, my father brought a photograph of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai and put it in the pooja room. That is how we came to know of Bhagavan for the first time.

I went in 1998 to Brindavan and had darshan of Bhagavan for the first time. He threw some chocolates on us. Luckily, I could get one as prasadam. When I was there, Bhagavan came in my dream also.

I came after that once to Prasanthi Nilayam for seva. In the end, we were all given padanamaskar. When Bhagavan was coming along the lines, we were told not to get up. It is indiscipline. Before taking padanamaskar, I stood on my knees.

Bhagavan halted before me and asked 'what is the matter?' 'Swami, You brought me here to your house and made me happy' I said, 'now You come to my house and make me happy.' Bhagavan said 'I will come, I will come.' 'But how You come should also be known to me' I prayed. 'If You come in some other form we can't recognize you.' This was in 1975-76. Even after two years and a half, there was no sign of Bhagavan visiting my house. But I was still hopeful.

In 1978-79, Nirjala Ekadasi came. I was doing abhishekam to a linga made of mud made by me. Suddenly I noticed that there was some black thing there. I wanted to take it out and throw away. But when I took it out, I saw that was a black Siva lingam. I closely observed. It has golden yajnopaveetham also. I was happy and grateful that Bhagavan had fulfilled my desire.

In this month, last week, I came to Prasanthi Nilayam for seva. After five days, a passing thought came to my mind. 'On coming for seva here, I am losing my daily income on performing poojas' I thought. That day, a local Brahmin came to me.

'An overseas devotee wants to give food for 5 Brahmins' he said, 'we are four. Would you like to join as the 5th one?'

I agreed as there was no clash with seva timings. He gave us food and Rs. 500 to each of us. I was stunned. Was this a slap on my cheek for my passing thought on losing income after coming here for seva?'
