Mr. V. Narahari Rao (50), a businessman, relates a few of his experiences of the
Divinity of Bhagavan in his own words.
'I was originally a devotee of Shirdi Sai Baba. I was facing certain difficulties
and wanted to go to Shirdi. For that I began saving money. During that period I
attended Sri Sathya Sai bhajan at a relative's house in Khammam.
'Two buses are going to Puttaparthi for Dasara with devotees', my relative told
me, 'I booked a ticket for you also.'
Thus, I went to Puttaparthi with the money I had saved for a visit to Shirdi. Since
then, I became a devotee of Bhagavan as well. In spite of heavy rain and huge crowds,
we had good Darshan and even Padanamaskar at Puttaparthi on that occasion. I went
again in 1997 to Puttaparthi. Then also Swami gave me Padanamaskr. During that trip,
one devotee gave me Gayathri yantra also.
Owing to some problems, I wanted to sell away my rice mill. But I could not get
even the minimum offer of Rs.3.5 lakhs. I went to Sri Sathya Sai Mandir at Khammam.
I sat before the Photograph of Bhagavan and prayed intensely. Later, I left for
Puttaparthi. I received a phone call when I was at Puttaparthi from my brother in
Hyderabad that an offer for Rs. 5.5 lakhs had come for our rice mill! I could not
believe my ears. Such is the grace of Bhagawan.
Soon after, my brother asked me to go over to Hyderabad, 'here is a good alliance
for your daughter. Better come and talk over'. It was the only alliance we considered
for my daughter. It clicked owing to Swami's grace.
My daughter was carrying. During the period of her pregnancy, there was an eclipse.
There is a belief among our people that an eclipse during one's pregnancy can result
in deformed babies. We were very much worried. That night my daughter had a dream
in which Bhagavan came and was sitting by her, caressing her on the abdomen. In
fact, she was left alone in that room with no light. So she was feeling lonely and
even frightened. Sai Maata, in His boundless love and compassion, came to keep company
with her and to assure her of His protection. She delivered a healthy son happily
afterwards.'
