Mr. Teja Ram Singh (63), Senior Assistant (Rtd), Irrigation Department, relates a
few of his experiences of the Divinity of Bhagavan, in his own words.

'In the year 1975, I had no peace of mind owing to some personal problems on domestic
front. I then wrote a letter to Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, and all my problems
were solved miraculously in a few days. I developed faith in Bhagavan and wanted
to keep His Photograph in our Pooja room. But I could not get any Photograph of
Bhagavan even though I searched in many shops.

In the year 1980, I was taking meals in a hotel when a vendor of stickers came there.

'Do you have a Photograph of Sri Sathya Sai Baba of Puttaparthi?' I asked him.

'Yes', he replied, 'I have only two'.

Immediately I bought both - one a bust and the other in the sitting posture. They
are still in my Pooja room. That is how Bhagavan entered my house in the form of
                    Photographs.

When I was working at Sultanpur, I used to attend Bhajans in the house of Dr. Mrs.
Krishna who gave me the book 'Satyam Sivam Sundaram'. After going through it, I
came to know about the life and message of Bhagavan to some extent.

In 1990, I went to Puttaparthi as a sevadal member. It was my first visit to Puttaparthi.
At the end of seva, we all had Darshan of Bhagavan. He gave us Padanamaskar also.

I returned from Puttaparthi to Rai Barelli where I was working at that time. Soon
after my return, some miscreants kidnapped me. I used to pray to Bhagavan to save
me. After one week, the kidnappers released me on their own accord without harming
me in any way. They even paid me some money for my expenses to return. I became
grateful to Bhagavan for saving me.

In the year 1992-93, I was working at Hardwar. My youngest son Rajesh Kumar who
was 18 years old at that time consumed Tic-20 - a poison, by mistake. Though we
shifted him to Hospital, his condition was precarious. I prayed to Bhagavan intensely
to save my son as even doctors lost hope. Owing to the grace of Bhagavan, he recovered
miraculously. I came to Puttaparthi with my son for thanks-giving to Bhagavan. We
attended the world Conference that was being held at Puttaparthi at that time. I
                    did seva at the Ashram.

I do not remember the year, but I had pain in my kneecap in the left leg. There
was itching also on my left thigh. At that time, Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee had undergone
                    surgery for knee replacement.

'Swami!' I prayed before the Photograph of Bhagavan. 'I am not a rich person. I
cannot afford to undergo surgery. You are my only hope. Please remove the pain in
my knee.' Soon the pain in my knee disappeared miraculously without any medicine.

Many are the experiences we have had of the divinity of Bhagavan. My daughter had
no issue even after a lapse of 14 years after her marriage. We prayed to Bhagavan.
She was blessed with a son thereafter.'

                    -- Mr. Teja Ram Singh.

(As narrated to Mr. B.Parvatala Rao at Prasanthi Nilayam on 14.06.2004.)
