Mr. S. Sundareswaran (30), a businessman, relates a few of his experiences of the Divinity of Bhagavan in his own words.

'I was brought up in Sai environment as my parents happen to be devotees of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. I used to attend bhajans wherever they were held in our vicinity. Strangely I used to get a call letter for an interview for a job on the very same day of bhajan.

Once I came for seva to Prasanthi Nilayam in 1998. Till then, whenever my parents wanted to come to Prasanthi Nilayam for seva, I used to comment, 'can't you do seva here? Why go all the way there?' During the seva period, I had to go and attend a written test at Bangalore for a job in Railways. I took permission from the Sevadal leader and went to Bangalore.

It was a new place for me. I do not know Kannada. I wanted to go to some lodge. But in the Bus, the suitcase of a person sitting in front of me was stolen. So I was afraid to go anywhere. I went to the place where I was to write the test. Some construction was going on there. I went and introduced myself. To my relief, they responded in Tamil. They were so nice as to give me shelter and food. I wrote the test and returned to seva as per programme. It was all due to the grace of Swami who arranged all that I needed in a new place, which was more than I expected or could hope for.

My father used to search for a suitable alliance for my sister. Once he went to finalize an alliance, but it did not come through as the bridegroom's family thought that our family was not equal to theirs in status and riches. My father was so disappointed and frustrated that he quietly went to the seashore with an intention to end his life. Then he heard a voice, 'don't do that!'

Being a devotee, he thought that it was Baba's will that he should not die. So he returned home. That day one of our three pet cats fell into the well and died. 'Swami exchanged my life to that of the cat to save me', father used to say. Soon my sister was married off to a good bridegroom. They are well off. It is Swami's will that I should not get into service. So, though I got many call letters, I did not get a job. I have entered the business-line. By Swami's grace, I am beyond want.'
