Mr. N.T.R. Gupta (55), a businessman, relates his experience of Bhagavan in his own words.

'My daughter was not well. We tried medical treatment of all sorts but in vain. The convenor of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samiti, Vijayawada advised me to take her to Puttaparthi. Though she was not in a condition to travel that far, I decided to take her there.

We entrained at Vijayawada for Dharmavaram. I don't know what happened but we all slept till Dharmavaram passed. When we woke up, the train was nearing Penukonda, the next station. We had to get down there. How to get back to Dharmavaram? One Railway employee who saw our plight told me, 'only today a new train is being introduced to Dharmavaram. It is ready to start. Go and get into it'. We did not expect that our returning to Dharmavaram would be that easy. It was the grace of Swami. We reached Dharmavaram and a bus was ready at the station. It took us to Puttaparthi without any further problem.

It was Dasara time and a Yajna was going on in Prasanthi Nilayam. This was three years ago. The crowd was very heavy. Somehow we could enter the auditorium and sit in the rear. There was no hope of Swami coming to the side where my daughter sat. But after the Yajna was over, Swami came into the auditorium and moved in the crowd. He came up to the point where my daughter was sitting and sprinkled Holy water on her also. We could not gauge the Divine intention at that time, and hoped that she would be cured. We did not know that Swami was absolving her of her prarabdha and preparing her to be worthy of merging in Him. That was what happened after a few months.'
