Mr. N. Ramakrishna (68), who left his job in a Sugar Factory and came to Puttaparthi to join seva, relates a few of his experiences of the Divinity of Bhagavan in his own words.

‘I lost my eye when I was a boy. When I was in service in a Sugar Factory, suddenly the second eye also went blind. I went to Madras on November 20, 1983 and got my eyes tested. They asked me to come back on December 20, 1983 for surgery. I came home. We brought our daughter for delivery. Just then my wife had to go to Prasanthi Nilayam for seva in connection with the International Conference of Balavikas teachers. We were given a date for surgery at Madras in such circumstances. We made alternate arrangements for my daughter and left for Madras.

We paid an advance of Rs. 10,000 for surgery. One day prior to the date of surgery, Bhagavan came in my dream and said, ‘your surgery is over. See’. I opened my eyes as I awoke. I could see with both eyes! Nobody believed my words. Some of them took it as delirious talk on my part owing to fear and tension of the surgery. Then, a team of doctors examined me and said, ‘it is amazing. Your eyesight is normal. There is no need for surgery’. They returned the advance paid by us. I returned home. Every one was amazed that my eyesight had been regained thus.

I went to Prasanthi Nilayam. On December 29, Balavikas conference was held. I could see all sports and games activities there, to my heart’s content.

Once I had a boil on my foot. I am a diabetic patient. So it did not heal. The apses had to be opened. But as my sugar was on high side, they could not open it. Then I had a dream. Swami came dressed as a doctor, and asked me in the dream, ‘do you need injection?’ That day my doctor had told me that he would give me an expensive injection to bring down the sugar level. I replied in the dream, ’our doctor said he would give the injection’. The dream ended. Next morning I woke up to find that my apses disappeared without trace. When they checked my sugar, it was normal.

Swami performed 70 marriages as part of His 70th Birthday celebrations. Then I was in the canteen seva. By the time the dinner was over, it was 11 p.m. Just then I went to bathroom. The power supply went off suddenly. In the darkness I fell down. I had injuries on my knee. So I had to return home limping. I had fever also. At about 1 p.m. next day, I was in my house, down with fever. Swami came into my room and blessed me. It was not a dream, and I was wide-awake. I got up in excitement. My fever was gone as well as the injury on the knee sustained when I fell down in the canteen the other day.’
