Mr. L.Rama Rao (52), an employee of VSNL, has many experiences of the Divinity of
Bhagavan of which he narrates a few in his own words.
'Though I was yearning to go to Puttaparthi and have Darshan of Bhagavan for several
years, I could do so by Bhagavan's grace only in 1990. That was the first time I
had Darshan of Bhagavan and, for that matter, saw Puttaparthi. At that time, I went
alone.
In 1991, my wife developed a health problem. Doctors advised surgery but were not
sure of its outcome. I took my wife to Puttaparthi hoping against hope to get a
chance to be able to see Him from close quarters and pray for help. But when we
came to Puttaparthi, there was tight security and huge turnout of devotees and visitors.
May be a VVIP was calling on Bhagavan or some celebration was going on.
Our Bus was stopped at the Vidyagiri Arch, a little way from the General Hospital
at Puttaparthi. We got down and started walking towards Mandir when a police constable
came to us.
'You are walking on the left side', he told us, 'go to the right'. I did not know
why he told us like that but I did not argue. We both came to the right side and
continued our walk.
Even before we went a few paces, a car came from the opposite side and stopped where
we were. The glass pane of the rear window of the car was lowered and there was
Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba looking at my wife, exactly at the affected portion
of her body benevolently. I immediately fell flat on the ground and performed pranam.
When I got up, the car was gone!
Bhagavan was seated on the left in the car. Had we been walking on the left side?
Had the police constable not asked us to go to the right? All the time I was praying
for seeing Bhagavan from close quarters. It would not have been possible for us
to go near Him when the VVIP was there, and when there was so much rush. Amazingly,
my wife's health problem ceased to bother her since that day and did not recur.
Later, a number of miracles began to occur in our house. Vibhuti used to occur in
heaps from the Photographs of Bhagavan, and other gods and goddesses even. Normally
we keep on a plate rice, curries, chutney, etc, and put a lid thereon. We remove
the lid after a few minutes. Then we find that all those items get mixed and made
into muddalu (balls of rice). Usually one or two of those balls of food appear missing
as if Swami had accepted the offering. Similarly we offer milk in a glass tumbler.
After a few minutes, the level of milk in the tumbler gets reduced as if Swami had
accepted the offering. Sometimes some coins and currency notes appear before Swami's
Photographs. These are common occurrences.
The marriage of our daughter Sai Raja Rajeswari was performed on 23.04.2004 at Anantapur.
The whole thing can be described as a miracle continuum. We used to receive instructions
from Bhagavan through the astral medium. We were given all instructions as to the
alliance, engagement, muhurtham for the wedding, etc. We were asked not to invite
our relatives and friends, but only a select few of Sai devotees. I felt embarrassed
to perform the wedding without inviting my relatives. Though I sent invitations,
none of them turned up.
Only those that were allowed by Bhagavan attended the wedlock at Anantapur.
When a garland was placed on the chair of Bhagavan (Chair specially kept for Bhagavan),
it broke into two pieces on its own, signifying Bhagavan's arrival!
Earlier also several miracles occurred at our house - perhaps suggesting this auspicious
event. On September 12, 2003, akshatas appeared. In November last, nine chocolates
appeared for nine persons present on the occasion. '
