Mr. E. Balaraj Goud,
Nancherla P.O.,
Ganveedu Mandal,
Rangareddy District.
Mr. E. Balaraj Goud (57), an agriculturist,
relates a few of his experiences of the Divinity of Bhagavan in his own words.
'My brother-in-law, Mr. Ramulu Goud was having some problem and was receiving treatment.
I brought him to the SSSIHMS, Prasanthigram and they diagnosed it as a cardiac problem
and placed his name on the waiting list for surgeries. Meanwhile, he got appointment
and joined service. Even before he drew his first salary, he was called for cardiac
surgery at the SSSIHMS. I brought him to Prasanthi Nilayam and before admitting
him we sat for darshan. I wrote a letter to Swami about my brother-in-law's health.
Swami took the letter. This was in the nineties. That year we witnessed Swami ascending
the golden chariot. He sat for a few minutes and descended.
Five persons including my brother-in-law were operated upon that day. All gained
consciousness as per schedule except my brother-in-law. As he did not regain consciousness,
he was declared to be in coma. Doctors found his case to be critical. He was in
that state for three days. I went to the photograph of Bhagavan in the hospital
and wept. I began to pray to Him. Later, I began to scold Him, 'I brought my brother-in-law
to Your hospital even before he drew his first salary. If anything untoward happens,
all our people will find fault with me. 'What has your God done for you?' they will
say in ridicule. If you are God, save him; if anything happens to him, I will not
step here again' I lamented.
Meanwhile a doctor came. 'Swami gave vibhuti prasadam for Mr. Goud' he said, 'give
it to him.' A nurse ran into the ICU with vibhuti. No sooner did she apply it, than
my brother-in-law regained consciousness. His condition began to improve. We returned
happily to our place thanking Swami for giving my brother-in-law a new lease of
life.
Later, he married my daughter and had children. Owing to Swami's grace, they are
all right.
Once, one of our devotees met with an accident. He was in coma for several weeks.
Doctors lost hopes. I went to see him in the hospital.
'Swami, we both came to Prasanthi Nilayam for seva' I prayed to Swami standing at
his bedside, 'kindly save him. I will bring him again for seva to Prasanthi Nilayam
soon after he gets better.'
Soon he regained consciousness. He began to improve. Finally he was discharged after
complete recovery. I brought him with me for seva in March 2006.'
