Mr. D. Mohana Rao (54), a devotee of Bhagavan, relates a few of his experiences of
the Divinity of Bhagavan in his own words.

'My wife, Mrs. Anjana Devi has been a devotee of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. She
used to attend bhajans. But I did not show much interest earlier in spiritual matters.

We both went to Hyderabad to attend the Birthday celebrations of Bhagavan in the
house of Mr. Vijaya Babu in Narayanaguda in November 2004. Ten days after our return
from Hyderabad, I had a stroke around 3 p.m. on December 8. I was unconscious till
                    the 10th morning.

When my wife noticed that I was not well, she ran to our neighbour, Mrs. G. Anita,
a devotee of Bhagavan, who is known as Mataji with reverence. She is believed to
be in communion with Bhagavan on astral plane. She told my wife, 'Swami says that
there is no need to worry and that He will take care of him!' My wife returned to
our house and gave me vibhuti-theertham.

As I was still unconscious, I was taken to the hospital where a Neuro- Surgeon examined
me and said that I had a stroke. He got brain scan taken besides some other tests.
My wife was praying to Bhagavan. She had a feeling that all test reports would indicate
normalcy only. It was so when the reports came. Doctors had no clue and could not
diagnose properly, and were doubtful if I would survive the stroke at all. They
prescribed some medicines for hypertension and diabetes and discharged me same day.

Next morning I regained my consciousness. It was like waking up after a deep sleep
for me. When I found many people around my bed, I was surprised, and asked, 'what
is the matter?' Since I was completely oblivious of what had happened that far,
'how are you?' they asked me.

'I am feeling that my hand and leg are a little bit stiff', I replied. After that
I attended to my daily chores normally. After a while, my hand and leg also became
normal as the feeling of stiffness disappeared. When I came to know what happened
on the 8th and the 9th, I was stunned. I realized that I had become normal only
owing to Bhagavan's grace even though doctors were sceptical of my recovery. I stopped
                    using medicines also.

After I recovered, Mataji gave me Sai Gayathri mantra and wanted me to repeat it
daily for 21 malas (each mala = 108 times). Like that, I was asked to do for 41
                    days.

After I began doing Sai Gayathri, Swami appeared in my dream one day. 'Come to Puttaparthi',
he told me in the dream. My wife also had a dream a day or two after that. She saw
Swami at Prasanthi Nilayam. Bhagavan called her for an interview in the dream.

We came to Prasanthi Nilayam on February 4, 2005. On the 7th, Bhagavan blessed me
thrice during Darshan; twice by raising one hand and once by raising two hands.
He was looking straight into my eyes as He blessed me.

I thanked Bhagavan in my heart for extending my life and warding off coma / paralysis.'

                    -- Mr. D. Mohana Rao.
(As narrated to Mr. B. Parvatala Rao at Prasanthi Nilayam on 07.02.2005.)a
