Mr. B. Ramachandra Reddy (65), a retired senior Technocrat of the BHEL, Hyderabad, relates a few of his experiences of the Divinity of Bhagavan in his own words.

'I had the good fortune to have Darshan of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba for the first time at Hyderabad in 1966. Bhagavan addressed the gathering on that occasion, and I heard His Divine Discourse also. It did not have an impact on me. I came to know more about Swami during 1968-69 and began to regard Him with reverence.

In 1971, I was blessed with a daughter, Madhavi Lata. A few days after her birth, we noticed that she could not hold her hand straight. There was a droop in her hand. We took her to specialists who described the ailment as 'Police Hand'. Though they put a bandage, they were doubtful if that would help at all. According to them, possibilities of getting the hand right were meagre.

On hearing them we felt very much depressed. As we had heard that Sri Sathya Sai Baba was performing many miracles, we began to pray to Him intensely. We wanted to apply some vibhuti, but we did not have any with us. Then we remembered that one of my friends who went to Shirdi gave us a packet of Shirdi vibhuti as prasadam. We could locate it. 'Swami! You have re-incarnated', we prayed, 'there is no difference between you and Shirdi Sai. So we apply this vibhuti and pray to you to cure our daughter'. After a month, we went to the doctor again. He removed the bandage. Miraculously, the baby was holding her hand straight. The doctor was pleasantly surprised. 'You are lucky, Reddy garu', he told me, 'it does not happen usually'.

We thanked Bhagavan for His love and compassion, and became His devotees. We have been participating in seva also since then. We attend bhajans, etc regularly.'
